Conceptualised in 2018 as a concept to reduce waste at our summer events, Silver Services offers reusable bowls, dishes, and real cutlery to events, private parties, weddings, and anyone else who is working towards reducing their impact on the landfills.
We are here to reduce waste at events. With 2000 plates and 2000 bowls, we have real cutlery, hiring, washing, and rehiring. No need for packaging at events, we can assist you to minimise your impact on the landfill.
Silver Services started in 2018 as a concept to reduce waste at our summer events like Gourmet in the Gardens and Gourmet Night Market. We purchased 2000 reusable bowls and plates respectively. We have a selection of stainless steel cutlery rescued from the Op shops and Waikato Hospice.
Over the last 3 summer seasons, we have managed to find a system that works and allows us to cater to our very large and loving audience each Sunday afternoon.
Silver Services allows Food trucks to serve food to their customers without using single-use disposable dish-ware. We have managed to reduce the waste at our events by sorting food scraps, recycling and landfill separately. We have evolved from 20+ 240 litre bins per night and now have 1-2 landfill and recycling bins respectively.
We are now in a position to be able to help other events with their waste reduction and remain environment-friendly.
