We develop unique uniforming options and incorporate wherever possible recycled and/or eco-conscious materials.
We work directly with our clients to identify the technical and visual requirements of their program and to ensure that the products we produce appropriately reflect our client’s image. We encourage prospective clients to choose a more sustainable path of product development and we help our clients communicate this message to their audience.
More about our sustainability credentials:
Certification and accreditation of our apparel include:
Ethical Profiling only works with accredited socially compliant manufacturers.
The company also works to help bring new manufacturers up to levels of compliance required for us to work with them. We call these “in transition to compliance” and do not place orders with these factories until they reach the level we need BUT the act of helping them get there is an important step that helps advance the entire landscape of ethical sourcing.
Whenever possible, we produce as domestically or in the country of destination.
We perform a full chain of custody audit on all apparel programs that trace back origin or raw materials so as to assess the complete carbon footprint of a product, guarantee authenticity on recycled or organic materials, and ensure fair working conditions and fair compensation for all parties involved in production.
This greatly depends upon the product and the manufacturing partner.
Ethical Profiling itself is a CowPower member.
The Company is also deeply involved in LED lighting and fuel additives in the hopes of always reducing energy use and carbon footprint.
Ethical Profiling president, Kemp Edwards, also holds a position as the Vice President of the Canadian Textile Recovery effort.
The Company has a closed loop recycled polyester system and a uniform “take back” initiative in place where in which we seek to up cycle old apparel programs for our clients and turn them into viable new products.
The Company is also partnered with “deBrand” to help clients realize ways in which to divert old programs no longer in use from landfill.
The strict third party audits our manufacturers must undergo prohibit irresponsible waste water management.
We evaluate production partners as well as fabrics we use with waste water and toxic pollution foremost in mind.
As an example, Ethical Profiling is no longer working with Rayon from Bamboo and has changed to using Tencel (with chemical re-use and water minimization in mind).
Ethical Profiling Ltd. chooses lower impact transportation whenever possible.
Our domestic (Canadian) freight partner is NOVEX.
We have also been working with our freight forwarders to implement a fuel additive into their system that will reduce carbon emissions by more than 50% and increase fuel efficiency.
