It groups event attendees and participants (production staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, caterers, contractors, performers, athletes & teams) together. This doesn’t allow separate analysis and designating ownership of event-related GHGs to various responsible stakeholders.
Travel: It offers a way to separate travel for staff and management, but only to be reported in litres of fuel, which might be challenging to calculate.
Energy: Enter actual kWh for mains. Fuel in generators only has the option for petrol or diesel.
MHE/Plant: It doesn’t have an option specifically for this, but you could include it under ‘transport energy’.
Transport: The tool simply asks for total fuel in litres, for transport, which is challenging to calculate considering the multitude of potential transport data sources, most of which aren’t reported as litres of fuel. (for example transport of event infrastructure).
Travel: Asks the distance as well as percentage of event attendees travelling by mode. It groups all public transport types together. It also asks the average number of people per car which is helpful in measuring car travel impacts when you’ve put in a percentage of the audience.
